Our Visit to Logos Hope

On the 28th of February, we embarked on an educational excursion to the Logos Hope Ship docked in Port Elizabeth. The visit aimed to provide our students with a unique learning experience centered around the theme of the importance of God’s Word, the Bible, and cultural interaction with the crew while exploring the world’s largest floating book fair.

The highlight of the visit was an engaging play titled “The Greatest Treasure,”  which conveyed the message of the incomparable value of God’s Word as opposed to a love for worldly riches. The play resonated deeply with our students, emphasizing the significance of spiritual wealth over material possessions. Notably, one of our students actively participated by joining the crew, encouraging physical activity among peers, and fostering a sense of involvement.

Following the interactive play, our students eagerly explored the renowned book fair aboard the Logos Hope. As the world’s largest floating book fair, it offered an extensive collection of literature from various genres and cultures. This unique opportunity allowed our students to interact with volunteers from different nationalities and gaining some insight into different ways of reaching the world for Christ.

The visit to the Logos Hope Ship proved to be an unforgettable experience for both students and staff. Through interactive learning and cultural exchange, we gained a deeper appreciation for the significance of God’s Word and the value of every precious soul spread across nations. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the crew of the Logos Hope for their hospitality and for facilitating this enriching educational excursion.
